FAQs

Candles

What are your candles made of?

We use a coconut-soy blend manufactured right here in the US. The wax is natural, additive-free, biodegradable, and smokeless.

What are your wicks made of?

Our wicks are made from dye-free 100% cotton woven with paper threading.

Are your fragrances non-toxic?

Yes! We are committed to consumer health and safety. We work with our suppliers to make sure our scent blends do not allow carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins, and acute toxins.

What are the approximate burn times of each candle?

  • 8 oz: 40+ hours
  • 10 oz: 50+ hours
  • 12 oz: 60+ hours

When should I trim the wick?

You should trim the wick before each burn. Trim your wick to about 1/4" before relighting. This will prevent the wick from smoking, and more importantly, the flame from getting too large.

Sage & Palo Santo

What is smudging?

Smudging is a tradition of many North & South American Indigenous cultures. It typically involves a ceremony of burning sacred and medicinal plants and herbs, including things like sage and palo santo, in order to purify and cleanse the soul or negative energies of a person or place.

Here's a great educational video to watch on how to smudge!

How is your sage and palo santo sourced?

Respectfully and responsibly! We work with suppliers that both respect the cultures that these traditions are sacred to and the lands from which they grow. Our sage is wild-grown blue sage that is hand-picked by our suppliers on private acres of generational land near the west coast. Our palo santo is sourced from South America, where only naturally fallen trees and branches are harvested by a native community of land stewards.
